From Slave to Son, Now THAT is Radical

Galatians 4:1-7

Who has ever heard of a slave becoming a son! It’s like going from floor-sweeper to a CEO, from last to first chair in an orchestra, from private to second lieutenant, or “gopher” to supervisor! And for the one to whom it happens, it must be an exhilarating and surreal experience, to suddenly be granted rights, privileges, authority, and responsibilities which were only ever dreamed of! The apostle uses a culturally familiar image to illustrate the remarkable “promotion” we received when we trusted Messiah Jesus!
