A Promise Is a Promise - Right?

There was a time when a handshake sealed the deal, a man’s word was his guarantee, and confidence, not suspicion, accompanied most agreements. That was then, this is now! We don’t live there anymore. Ours is an age of fine print, crossed fingers, and calculated deception. Contracts are made and easily broken. Treaties are signed and violated habitually. We’ve come to distrust everyone - including God! Is a promise really a promise? Is God like us, changing His mind at will whenever He sees an advantage? Will He keep the promises He’s made?
